9/25/2025 Recently, my husband and I were studying about Charles Stanley, and about how his wife and him were married for 44 years; then were estranged in the last decade of their marriage and ulimately, divorced. The wife had said “My husband had his priorities, and I was not one of them.” I found this to be heartbreaking because I know of many families who have suffered the tragedy of divorce. It is the devi’s goal to take what God has joined together, and tear it asunder.

And walking with Jesus is a narrow road for Christians, and definitely doing so married, is a very narrow road for a couple in the Lord as well. Charles Stanley had a large church and following, very true, but seemed to have his priorities way out of order. Even though I had listened to him for years at least a little, now I cannot overlook the fact that his family was left in shambles. I pray that he made it to heaven, and that He is able to see the eternal destruction that was left in the wake of bad judgment. https://youtu.be/AYJI3Jbeeso

Here is a recording that we tried to do reflect on talking through the issue. We did review what Scripture teaches about ministry and marriage, what conscience demands, and what the churches of God need to be wary of.
