12/18/2025 I know there is an alarm even when people hear the word “demon”, and rightly so. But there should be an expectancy for the born-again believer that we are to be on our guard against sin, and there are demons attached to sins. Sometimes, even without understanding of our sins, an individual has been affected by a demon that haunts them. Here is a link to a video by Derek Prince, that highlights 7 ways that a soul can be affected by demons; that is, that the devil could gain entry into the heart. Then, Jesus, the Holy Spirit surgeon does His operations and by the powerful name of Jesus, drives out the darkness. The will of the Lord is that we walk free from sins, from our flesh, and the devil. The realm of the spirit is real, and we can’t allow havoc that is not needed to affect our faith. The list of those things that bring demonic involvement that he reviewed were these. 7 ways demons gain entry, and He was very careful to speak objectively about it:

  1. Occult Background
  2. Personal occult involvement
  3. Prenatal Influence
  4. Soulish Domination
  5. Pressures in Early Childhood
  6. Moment of Place of Weakness
  7. Sinful Acts or Habits

It was enlightening, but we should go back to the Scriptures to find where Jesus speaks to our issues.

It seems we should be very adamant to be free from spiritual attack, but I can’t see how being educated about this could be anything but helpful. We need specific godly teaching. I have benefitted from some of the insight received on this, and know the powers are to be reckoned with; but the majestic blood of Jesus cancels the work of the devil. God be praised! When we recognize a demon, we must say with our whole volition, “Go away from me, demon of “NAME OF DEMON”, I cast you out in Jesus’ name”; believing that God honors that prayer, and the Name of Jesus is what the demon has to flee in response to. Matthew 10:1; Matthew 8:16. Pray effectually fervently, and with your mind set on God – with your whole heart.
