07/25/2026 Elisabeth Elliot was a missionary to Ecuador, and her and her husband were married in 1953 in Quito, Ecuador. It was only 3 years later, and her husband was brutally speared to death, while they were working to minister to the Quechua people, and their daughter was only 10 months old at the time. Elisabeth learned so much during her time in trials there, and stayed steadfast in faith by God’s amazing power! She is an example to follow and much of this information about her, I got from Wikipedia; but I had read a good book by her called Through Gates of Splendor. She has written over 20 books, and she was actually a penpal of a friend of mine, who I met in 2009, who is a devote Christian, too. She is worth looking into for books and her husband and her were fruitful in their time amongst the people of Ecuador. She was fruitful the whole duration of her life, which is a great testimony to God’s keeping power! “Therefore, he is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them” (Hebrews 7:25). That means Jesus prays for us! Did you know Jesus is praying for you?
