12/26/22 We live in a world overwhelmed with sometimes easily-accessible and free resources!
In the last few weeks, we discovered that Mary needed a new book for a final assignment in her English course before grading. She has read several books that have been phenomenal for her. We had her read Pilgrim’s Progress in everyday English and she also used an audiobook version to help her follow along. It was at least 8 hours long audibly, on the audiobook, and well over 300 pages in the book. I was astounded at how long it was. Anyway, I am encouraged when I see good books on youtube audio, and there are a lot out there, plus free sermons on youtube from people like Charles Spurgeon, and older Christian classics. Here is In His Steps, and it is a great story. I had to read it in college, and really enjoyed it. I must confess I’ll have to revisit it, because it has been so long that I don’t remember the storyline, but I do remember it being genuinely good! Here is a link to hear this great story for free. Online it would not be expensive if bought used and as a paperback.
