“Come To The Table” – Song for Communion by Martin Nystrom

2/22/23 This song, below, would be a great song for communion. I think this is a reverent and yet, intimate song for worship. I noticed at the end the singer, the leader who was in the recording invited people to communion. What is communion or what is “taking communion? “Taking Communion” is when Christians eat a piece of unleavened bread (in various forms) representing Christ’s body, and they drink a sip of wine or grape juice, representing Christ’s blood sacrifice. This is done ni a reverent way, because Jesus’ body was sacrificed, broken, and his blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. See Brittanica’s Last Supper/Communion.

It is an important thing to do. I think it helps us remember Christ’s death until he returns. Here is a reference for it, 1 Corinthians 11:23-25, alluding to the last supper Jesus had with his disciples before going to the cross. Communion is a mysterious practice. I realize that in Satan worship, the devil worshippers sometimes drink the blood of sacrificed animals or humans. But God is holy, and He wills for us to drink a representation of the blood of His Son, the blood that saves, cleanses, and reminds us that the LORD never intends to bring harm to anything.

Communion – This song would be a great song for that. Short but sweet!
